The Third World Studies Center, College of Social Sciences and Philosophy, University of the Philippines Diliman is looking for one (1) full-time Research Assistant for the period June to September 2017 for a project on the history of railways in Metro Manila funded by the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs Emerging Interdisciplinary Research Grant (see details of the research project here). The gross salary is PHP 27,653.00.
The research assistant position requires the following qualifications:
- Preferably a graduate from the University of the Philippines of any social science course or research-oriented discipline;
- Diligence in tracking down sources and organizing gathered data;
- Good writing skill in both English and Filipino; and
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
