I just saw your page. I hope that your meeting was successful, and that you're now on the road to making-enhancing-using an HSI for the PI.
ReplyDeleteOn the very day of your meeting (4 dec 2008) arguably the first comprehensive prototype global Human Security Index was presented in Hanoi

Since then, an enhanced version has been published by UN ESCAP in Bangkok:

A Website humansecurityindex.org has begun to be developed to address the issue, and people are wondering how to craft appropriate community-level indicators, that can assist local to global development planning (that focuses on more than GDP while avoiding GINI coefficients to help indicate who might be getting the money).

I wish you good fortune in your effort in the PI!
